SKILL POINT SYSTEM

So many games are benefiting from using skill points. Why is PG not using them? It has many advantages. The main one is character uniqueness which, from talking to many pilots, is one attribute which they would love to be included in the game. This is why i have come up with a system of which i’m asking to implement.
You will be able to obtain skill points by
Leveling up will give you 1 skill point
- Destroying rare mantis will give you 3 skill points
- Completing specific Story Missions will give you 1 skill point
- Conquering planets will give everyone in the alliance 2 skill points
- Getting top 5 in the reactor challenges by the time the timer runs out will give you 2 skill points
- Unlocking new systems will give you 3 skill points
(feel free to add anything that i have left out which is suitable to obtain skill points by doing)

The way to access the skill points section is to go on your profile. To the ship section. Then choose the ship you want to add skill points too. under the description there will be a skill points button. This will then open up the skill points window.
There will be tabs consisting of the different ship classes. The reason that I am choosing to make it so one can upgrade one ship class instead of the skill you unlock being added to all ship classes is down to the fact that there is a good possibility that you would want to have certain classes with certain traits. Hence the uniqueness. Also to prevent overpowering of ships. Once you click on it it will show the skill stem. Traits you can unlock for all ship classes would be.
- Increased Flight speed
- Increased Firepower (blasters)
- Increased Critical hit chance (blasters)
- Increased Resistance (causes flight speed to decrease by 3% as you are adding hull)
- Increased Repair power (rep droid)
However you can only choose 3 of these options for each ship
(If there is anything else i have missed feel free to add)

Specific Tank traits
Aggrobomb
Increased cooldown, increased critical hit chance or increased effect
Aim Scrambler
Increased effect or increase cooldown
Taunt
Increased cooldown or increased effect
Shield
Increased resistance or increased cooldown

Specific Engineer traits
Protector
Increased resistance or increased cooldown
Repair Target
Increased repair power or increased cooldown
Repair target
Increased repair power or increased cooldown
Materialize
Increased cooldown or increased effect

Specific Storm traits
Rockets
Increased firepower, increased cooldown or increased critical hit chance
Aim computer
Increased cooldown or increased effect
Perforator
Increased cooldown or increase effect
Thermoblast
Increased firepower, increased cooldown or increased critical hit chance

Specific shock traits
Speed actuator
Increased effect or increased cooldown
Stun charge
Increased effect or increased cooldown
Aggro Beacon
Increased effect, increased resistance or increased cooldown
Stun dome
Increased effect or increased cooldown

Specific Sniper traits
Sniper blaster
Increased cooldown, increased firepower or increased critical hit chance
Attack charge
Increased effect or increased cooldown
Attack drone
Increased cooldown, increased resistance or increased firepower
Orbital strike
Increased cooldown, increased firepower or increased critical hit chance

However if you make a mistake or regret your choice there will be a reset token available in which you can reset all the traits selected and retrieve back all points allocated to that ship. This will cost x amount of gold.
So to put this into perspective. I buy a fusion storm (mizar)
i choose
Increased flight speed
Increased critical hits
Increased repair power
Then i choose
rockets - Increased critical hit chance
Aim computer - Increased effect
Perforator - Increased effect
Thermoblast - Increased firepower
