I came with the idea to add a very cool feature to the vega system. However, it wouldn't fit into the system as it is now since the storyline is too small and the idea would not work properly. So I came up with the sollution to expand the storyline and make the Vega System fit onto the Antares System and to fill in the empty holes in the Lore and Gameplay.
So the main feature would be something very special that would be hard to redo in other systems, but would make the vega system really cool.
The Idea is to make the Jake's Smugglers and the Vega Colonial Administration a Clan.
The clans will be based on normal clans but will have no limited capacity and you won't be able to leave it/join it. It will be a clan where you will be forced into and forced out to by doing storymissions in a better sense then the todays missions.
There will also be ranks. For the Smugglers, or as I would like to call them Jake's Smugglers, Jake Rattenbury will be the Admiral, but still be a NPC. Bill Darius will be the Captain. After that you will have Officers (Players), Members (Players) and Aplicants (or something) (Players).
Officers won't be able to do much, but will be able to go to Conquest!
Thats right, I think that Conquest isn't introduced properly and I think that this idea is a great chance to do this. Maybe a third Conquest Planet needs to be made, I tought in the direction of the outer vega system, beyond Aurora or make Lyris a Conquest planet and fit lyris stuff to Axiom, but I don't like that a lot.
Now we have 3 conquest planets, they all have a special rank/ship connected to them.
I think that Dante fits the role to be a rank 3 conquest planet where only rank 5 tech and rank 3 ships are alowed. This is the Smuggler Conquest Planet. They have 33 people that can join the conquest, while the others only have 25 people. The smugglers do not have to participate, they can always come to Dante, but other clans do need to participate. It can be fun to add a side mission will tells you to go to such conquest. But because currently the cq's are all once a week, dante will be once a day at differant times. On Mondays it can be at 8PM while on Tuesday's on 12AM. This way many smugglers can atleast do this mission or just have fun with Dante. The newly made conquest and/or Junkyard will be rank 10 ship and 12 tech conquests where the Vega Colonial Administration will be fighting against outlawed pirate clans. The same rules as Dante. This conquest will be less often. 3 times a week.
If there are not enough players as 33, then a system should add NPC's that fight along. Jake Rattenbury will be flying a conquest ship and Bill a rare SC-SSX Overseer... Other clans are not allowed to have a CQ ship on this conquest.

The first time playing, you land on the planet surface with a Transporter, you are new, but need to transport goods to a refinery. But you are attacked by the Colonial Administration, you are left in a POD, when the smuggler Bill Darius arrives. He helps you to Hangar, where you receive your first ship. You are now already member of Jake's Smugglers. This ship is a cheap ship that Bill could afford to give you. It has very basic weapons. With this new ship you go to orbit where you start learning. First you need to practice by killing DEFENSLESS drones. They drop a lot of cryonite that bill says you need to pick up. You get around 10 cryonite, after that can go to Orbit and follow the normal questline. However, I do think that the Sentinels should receive a repair droid as they also drop it making them harder to kill. There armor can be reduced.
So now you are in Jake's Smugglers Clan, you will also get more missions. In first instance you are a Aplicant. You need to proove to be worthy to be a smuggler and do tasks. Before Baiting Sentinels, you should be told to buy a AnIn-1300 Light Transporter if you didn't do the tutorial mission. Then you unlock the tutorial to search a afterburner blueprint. After that you can do Baiting Sentinels. In baiting Sentinels, I would like to make a few changes, nothing changes in the beginning, but after you saved the smuggler, you both go to mining central, but in the way back you get ambushed by other angry sentinels. After this you get the mission of Mine Mystery, where I would like to make a few tweaks, I think that the mantis scientist comes way to fast. It would be better if you had to escort one transporter, but then the Colonial Administration attacks, the same way that happend to you. It has one officer in command of a small squadron. Officer Rosebud. You destroy his escort, when he flees and says that you are now his arch enemy (since you were already his enemy as you were in Jake's Smugglers Clan.). You go to orbit when Cassius Rock calls you again and tells you that he had send a smuggler on a job to protect the ore transporters from a possible other assault when they got attacked. The smuggler escaped. But now you, the smuggler and bill have to search the Transporter back, there is a trail of smoking buildings that lead you to a strange lab where you attack a few eliminators and then mantis scientist attacks, you are able to damage him, but he stuns all of you and flees... After this you become Member of Jake's Smugglers.
A lot more missions could get a little bit bigger. Especially on Axiom, where I really think that they should tell you to buy a Rank 3 ship, since you might use them on Conquest. There will be more side missions, such as the Space Race Tournament and defend the ore transporter (instead of energy collector for smugglers). On Axiom, I also think that the Smugglers should establish a base or something.
White missions should be deleted and replaced by more chalenging and fun story missions that cover most of it, such as blueprint hunt etc. Somewhere here you become an Officer of Jake's Smugglers.
Lyris also needs a drastic change, it's way to less used and the jump to Aurora is made to fast in the storyline. First of all, the smuggler storyline needs to be longer on lyris, maybe make a caravan mission. In the lines of that the base on Axiom got attacked and the caravan needs to be moved to a differant location. On lyris you could get more missions of the kind that you need to attack bases of colonial scientists to get certain blueprints, instead of needing to kill mantis. Since you are still collecting data to give to the mantis, they could also ask for data from labs. After Jake becomes supsisious about Bill and you follow him. You join the Colonial Administration and become their member, you need to destroy the base of the smugglers and then you receive 2 blueprints, one of a Colonial Jet and a Colonial Hawk. Hawk is a storm with only an aim computer. These are both rank 3 and "rare". Many of axiom's defenses should also fly these ships instead of the Antares Event Storm. You do a lot of missions as a Colonial, like trying to see where Jake is up to since he was able to escape as he has a shock. After a lot of missions, you finally do the mission where Jake trades the secrets, you receive the rank 10 ships.
With the rank 10 ships you follow the storyline to aurora that also should get a longer storyline where you advance in the stronghold of the mantis instead of rushing trough it. White missions should again dissapear and be replaced by better storymissions that tell you to gather information and blueprints. Somewhere here you become a Officer of the Colonials and receive the AnIn-X Tank blueprint. But then the Colonial army attacks the Behemoth and you have to help too, you and a few more colonials barely escape. After that you try to find a sollution against the behemoth, you will no longer be part of the colonials as they "died" and with a small (but bigger then normal) army you fight the behemoth with your secret spore gas weapon. You won't only attack the behemoth but mantis scientist and a mantis mender will be there too, you attack the mantis and win in a bigger battle then now and then you leave to Antares with probebly a much higher rank and much more fun in the game....
