I logged onto PG today and found that my ship moved from one place on the planet to the other, which was where i was earlier. Then i looked and my cry count and it was less than what i logged off with. I know this issue has happened with other players but won't SSS do anything about it, too worried about Dino-Storm?

heard they had 400k registered counts 0.o, and they've got at list x2 more active players then PG, so it might be not so weird xD

I've also had this happen (the ship moving thing, not the cry loss). Only once or twice though.

Simple explanation to this is rollback - which means your character status, including position and cryo is rolled back to some earlier point prior to logoff. Has happened to me several times which I can tell for sure when I have been too late to log off and few times when I have certainly logged off few minutes before downtime.

It seems that either server sometimes skipping COMMIT before server shuts down or whoever does upgrades, messes something up and has to reset data to some previous savepoint/backup. As system administrator myself I know that such things can happen but should be much less likely if update process is worked out carefully. From players perspective it is no fun if you are missing result of your last two hours of grinding or thrown back behind map position which you just crossed with great effort.
