mid air stop

PLEASE can we have a mid air stop control! the down arrow could be used for it or something... im sick of having to hook onto an energy ball that some bugger might steal and leave me drifting, or going to orbit and losing my place on the map. there must be others like me. PLEASE GET THIS INSTALLED IM LOSING MY MIND OVER IT!1

I have often wanted an anchor button, where you can drop anchor and just sit there without locking into anything. We should be able to have anchors on our SHIPS mates!!

Without getting too technical here, just look at the flight characteristics of these ships. They can turn around nearly instantaneously on a dime, can fly so slow that it is readily apparent they are not using aerodynamics for flight (like just drifting), so why not be able to hover??? If they ARE using aerodynamics for flight, then they cannot fly in outer space due to lack of atmosphere (kind of like sound cannot travel in outer space).

Oh my, Nebulaman, you don't know that light is made of photons which in fact do have momentum??? Even though photons are massless particles, they still do possess momentum. Thus if you had a high enough concentration of photons in your 'laser blast', you could move something. This reminds me of the little light operated windmills with the black and white vanes. This works because the black vanes stop the photons by absorbing them, thus reducing their momentum to zero. The white vanes reflect the photons, thus reversing direction, i.e. stopping them and then reaccelerating them in the opposite direction, thus the momentum change is twice as much on the white vanes. As we all should know, Force is the time derivative of the momentum, thus the force applied to the white vanes by the photons momentum is double that which is applied to the black vanes, and voila!! the windmill turns. yea i hate it to but a anchor on super sonic ships that are build to fight you going to put a old stupid anchor on it just stupid if you take the anchor and put it in a new desing mebay then

Maybe more like a grappling hook that you shoot into the ground. Even if they can hover, you would need an anchor of some sort to counter wind drift.
