Dear fans of Pirate Galaxy,I would like to give you a short update about what's going on behind the scenes of your favorite space pirates game.
Our player community has been very loyal and supportive in the last months. This has enabled us to upscale our team and intensify our work on the game. As a result, we have seen server stability on the rise and also some major improvements to the technology behind Pirate Galaxy. We also put up new forums and established in-house community management to be closer to our community.
All this has worked out very nicely. We're getting ready to put some new features into the game that we hope you will find exciting. We can't provide a timeline yet, but we would like to give you an overview of what we are planning for.
So whats on the horizon?
SQUAD TOURNAMENTS
Squads will be able to fight each other in large scale battles taking place on tournament planets (such as Vega 3). Winners are promoted in a new ranking table.
NEW CLAN CONQUEST SYSTEM
The new Conquest system allows clans have their own Clan Warships built and challenge each other for a Cryonite jackpot. We hope you will find this new system as much fun as we do. Clanships are enormous and will strike fear into the hearts of your enemy clans. The new system is already being tested and will go live very soon.
MORE PAYMENT METHODS
We have a new payment solution in the works that will provide many new payment methods, for example SMS payment outside of Germany. Especially players from abroad will have more choices when it comes to buying premium items.
LAUNCH IN AMERICA
Our new US-based servers have been online for some weeks now. We are currently integrating the game into Aeria Games' portal and hope to launch there very soon. We expect this will bring many new players from North America into our community. We've already gone live on Bigpoint and more portals will follow.
REVAMPED VEGA STARSYSTEM & MARKETING CAMPAIGN
We're working hard on an improved version of the Vega starsystem. It will be more beginner friendly and provide a better experience for newbies. Once it's done, we will launch an international marketing campaign to bring even more new users into the game. Freshmeat for your clans!
BOUNTIES
Another new PVP feature where you get to hunt down renegade pilots, or put other players on the trail of your most dreaded enemies.
UI IMPROVEMENTS
The user interface will get some much needed polish. This will include a new minimap, a revamped gamescreen UI, and many smaller changes to improve usability and looks.
DRACONIS AND BEYOND
Ultimately, you will be exploring new regions of the Pirate Galaxy universe. This includes the Draconis starsystem, a breeding ground for the most dangerous and disgusting aliens ever encountered. You will learn more about the Mantis species, their biology, and may even get a shot at their Hive Queen. We can't reveal more at this time but we can promise there is a lot of exciting stuff coming your way. And it won't be long now.
