Hello all!
I have been thinking about this problem for quite some time now and am upset with it. This may have been posted before but anyway... One of the common annoying things that i have to face in this game is the landing area. There is always one single area where a player is supposed to land. No matter if he is suited to the area or not. First i like that area for its easy enemies when i newly discover the planet but later it slowly starts to frustrate me when i have to use my afterburner twice or thrice to get to a place. I was thinking if we could be given a choice for where to land. Kind of like a map. Where we click we will land there only. This does not have to be for ones who have discovered the planet just at the moment. Maybe for the ones who have discovered almost all of the planet.

I think it's fine as it is. We need the challenge, else this game will just become fairly simple in that you can just land wherever you want.

Missions may also be impacted quite heavily by a change like this. Many missions could be accomplished very quickly due to this update (most notably escort missions - instantly landing in the area, etc), thus potentially eliminating many challenges that are faced (the mantis that 'block' the area to the next).

Anyway, this is just my opinion on this.

Yeah have to agree with my old mate Tyrannus, the landing site has to be in a fixed position so you face the challenges presented. If you could land where you want, many people would land at the end of a mission so it registers as completed, and not have to face the challenges. This would be wrong in my opinion - nice, but wrong - since these battles give a taste of what's to come !!

u must b new if u havent noticed tht most of the game is a total delay tactic with cryo and trips. and yet already u can b in draconis in 15 days ....if i remember correctly.
