Ok guys, this has just got beyond a joke. People creating clans because they want to pvp then going and grinding rares instead. Noone wants to go pirate mode anymore, they have stop seeing the fun in the game and instead renamed the game "quest for rares". This is really got stoopid. Are you people scared of what will happen if you press the skull? Pirates arent going to instantly spawn on your head!
Taking a risk makes this game so much more fun, and tense. Yes, ok if you want to grind rares and cry, fair enough. But what happens when in the last system ss release you have the best ship will all rares and 4 million cry to spare? What then? You stop playing because the point of the game ( for you) has gone.
What you people are missing is that CQ's are actually FUN! Yes, I know this sounds controversial, I mean, what could be fun about a huge alliance battle? There has been so much time put into the game to ensure that the pvp system is good, and yet noone uses it.... what a waste.
Then, of course there is the cryonite drop. Who would do something that has the risk of them losing cryonite? fools and hardcore players obviously. however, if you are any good at pvp, you can escape the cry drop. It is so satisfying to pvp and come out victorious on a fair 1v1.
Of course there is one area that needs to be looked at. At the moment there is no reward for winning pvp or podding a clan at a conquest. In my opinion, you should be able to take the cry drop from your enemy if you are victorious in a pvp, but the reward system needs to be looked at.
Those of you with PM FOR XP ONLY!!!!!1111ONE in your status message make me sick. It is a pvp system ONLY so if you dont want to pvp dont do it! Leveling is not the sole purpose of the game, that may come as a shock but you need to come to terms with it!
There are also those who think "well, ill pvp once i get a lvl 60 ship and get all the rares. Ok, the lvl 60 ship is necessary, but the rares arent. I have beaten many players with a lot of rares with only one, which was the speed actuator, on my ship! it gives you an advantage, but not a certain win.
I would just like to make clear that those who find other things in te game such as the PvE system fun, i have nothing against you. But those who have those awesome lvl 6o ships with 7/8 rares, your missing out.
