Hi!!

First off i want to say I just stumbled on this game a few days ago and am HOOKED!!! I like it alot and have been playing nonstop. Yet last night I signed on through the downloaded frontend and The opening graphics(the asteroids) were choppy, as if dropping frames. I also noticed the mouse pointer was sluggish. So i thought maybe the graphics needed to be dropped from highest to medium. but that didn't help. When I was ingame the same was happening with the graphics and the pointer...like lag but not?? Anyway I run off my laptop and prior to yesterday no problems. But I still thought maybe my drivers were out of date so I did update my ati driver but no change.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the game-no change.

I ran the medic and all checks out ok.

I even tried repairing the game with the repair tool-no change.

Does anyone know what could be causing this? I am new could this be lag?? I haven't played over the weekend before so maybe there are just a lot of people on?

Please help anyone as I want to get back in the game lol!!

Thanks

That is Lag, the kind of thing those that often play on weekends are used to. though the lag has increased this weekend (probably due to the new system).

thanks!! Like I said never played on the weekend before. Now I feel better as I was thinking it was either something with my puter, like my new graphics driver or the game. Oh well...guess I'll play during the week then.

Unless someone has tips to help with the lag????

Thanks again!!

Reducing graphics level helps
Minimizing how many things are feeding off you internet connection helps
Using a different access point helps (can only do this if using browser)

If serious case:
finding a new internet connection may help
cheek your wireless card to see if it needs replacing or has a bad wire connection to it

getting the dust out of your computer often helps a lot too

You might want to try doing a defrag and disk clean up, and also do an anti malware and spyware sweep too. You would be amazed how much rubbish a PC or laptop will collect when surfing that will slow your machine down considerably.
There are loads of free programmes you can use to clean up. I swear by CCleaner and Malwarebytes, which are really good as well as Lavasoft Ad Aware. hope this helps.
you might want have a look at this too. http://forum.pirategalaxy.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2487
