Is Solaris Still Down?

I have been trying all day only to get the same message that the server is offline and giving me the option to retry or go to the forums. So here I am asking if it has been down all day or not.

All North American access is down.
Has been all day. Depending on what you read, it's anything from crappy weather, to a Denial of Service attack, to the DNS not repopulating after a hardware migration....
If it's choice "C", it may take a few days to clear...


Frankly, I think it's some Italian dressing on the server motherboard. Damn sub sauce..... Stuff gets everywhere....

works? Even if it's a really, really basic explanation, I would be happy in acquiring more random knowledge.

Really simplified, Denial of service attacks are used to to bring servers down. there are many way that they can do this but a common method is to saturate the connections of the server so that it can't respond and normal requests.

This attack was not targeted specifically to our servers but to the the Denver data center and many other data centers.
