invisible/transparent NPC's are probably just mission NPC's, they appear transparent because someone else is doing a mission that has them, only the person thats doing the mission can click them (or shoot them if the NPC

They are called ghost mantis.
Ironically, there's a second glitch though. I see it a lot in the narrow pathways of Vega 4.
Saw it, anyway... I'm in Anteres now xD
Imagine this.
You look around.
Not a single mantis is anywhere near you.
You aren't lagging. Chat is still appearing in the upper right corner of the screen, and there is no chat delay.
You go up to an energy ball.
SUDDENLY, you get stuncharged. For a reason unknown, this stuncharge does damage, and reoccurs
but a moment later, stunning you again...
and again...
and AGAIN...
and AGAIN...
and so forth.
Until you're podded. :<
No Custodial was anywhere near you.
You observe as another player comes through the same pass as you did, and suffers the same fate.
They too, have a "what the hay?" moment, before being podded.
o.e Anyone know much about this yet? It's happened to me, and I watched it happen to another.
And that was the last time I went into northern Vega 4 via the north-east narrow passage xD
Did I pass custodials on the way there? - Yes
Could one of them have stunned me initially? - Doubt it. Wasn't even in aggrorange.
Did a custodial kill me? - If it was, it was Completely invisible, and had a quick loading stun charge...
One that HURT xO
By invisible, I mean, does not appear on the screen in any way, shape, or form.
There was no nearby custodial landing. There was no green exhaust floating around the area.
And, there were no shots fired. Nothing was visibly there to shoot. Looked for a target. Nada.
so yeah. Just a heads up. Anyone got anything on this?
This was about a week back, but I was hearing PLENTY about such issues during my time on Vega 4.
Just didn't quite know what they meant till I got super-stunned.
Also possible: This may have been reset with the resetting of the server Who knows?

And by the way, the other guy was in a Space Tank. Maybe he'll still remember the incident and post here.
But that might be wishful thinking... as half of the folks I know never even check the forums... xD
