information on PG

I have a pretty decent website with information and tips to PG. The link is http://www.pirategalaxy.tk/ . It has some stuff i have learned and been taught and should be a useful tool. check it out if you need any help with anything. Its similar to the official wiki page just a different set up. Its got some Sm info and and information on BPs. check it out and see what u think. im open to suggestions

and yes, you are advertising your website.

Peck i dont think his post is in breach of rule #5. I think you have forgotten V1-Hyper and YankElves have both done the same thing in the fan section with their own sites. All 3 are dedicated to providing helpful information to pirate galaxy players. Although i do agree this belongs in the fan Section, he hasn't done anything wrong.

As for spamming the same post over two different sections, i think he is allowed to do that just as long as one is in the off topic section and the other is somewhere else.

The rules state -
Useless threads, posts with the same content in different boards (cross-posting), threads with no stated topics, posts that artificially keep a thread alive. i.e Thread bumping.

Those spam definitions do not apply to the off-topic sections.

However thats just my interpretation, could do with some clarification from a forum mod

his site promotes yola and he has spammed a lot on the wikipedia with it.

Ok fair enough then, but i was referring specifically to the pirate galaxy forums not the wiki. The official pirate galaxy forum rules and the wiki rules are not the same and would have their differences.

I was going to put this in my last post, but i kept it brief. I think the main reason for rule #5 is to stop the advertising of such sites that have no relevance to pirate galaxy what so ever. Like dating sites, online shopping and sites that supposedly offer cheats/hacks etc and are only 3rd party programs infested with key loggers.

I think most fan sites do have some kind of logo/link like that if the owner/creator uses a free website builder. YankElves has a small link in the bottom left of his website linking to webs, Yola is just alot more obvious sitting right in the middle at the bottom of the page.

However if ghost69 has spammed Yola or whatever all over the wiki i think that is up to the wiki moderators. Spamming Yola ie. actually linking directly to Yola and not his site is different. I don't know how you can spam it but he may just want his site put in the external links of the wiki as a reference.

It just makes me think, there are two Hangman topics going that both serve the exact same purpose and are allowed. So can we have 10 hangman's? There must be some kind of limit surely. I cant spam countless pages of the same topic with the same post.

This site doesn't break any rule of PG. This is a PG helpsite and pbhuh please leave the moderator work to us who are mods.
