importance of waypoint?

Here is a question that has been on my mind for some time now... When I pick a bp mission lets say "pilfer rocket tech" or something I am told to go to a waypoint and kill a type of unit till they drop the bp... here's the question: Do you have to go to the waypoint if you know there are some of these units closer to you? The reason im asking is that it takes a long time to find a bp (too long in my oppinion) and it would be a terrible waste if you were to kill a whole lot of mantis for nothing. However I dont want to travel to the other end of the world if I dont have to.

You get the reward even if you get the bp from somewhere else.

Thats true. If you are searching for a Standard repair droid, thenb you won't get reward for Sub-standard. Not enhanced either.

I have mentioned these before and I don't think anyone has addressed them yet but ...

1) The BP levels from the Menders on Vega 4 are backwards on Solaria server and possibly all servers since the rewrite of Vega system!!! R12 drops the enhanced power Repair Field and R14 drops just power Repair Field. I think enhanced power is better than power and thus should be reversed.

2) The two Materializer BPs and two Repair Target or two Repair Field BPs (can't remember which of the two from menders) have NO WHITE MISSIONS!! I think it is power fusion and enhanced power fusion and the missions should be on Technatoria since that is where they drop. So a total of 4 BP missions are missing on Technatoria.

I thought maybe this might be a good place to bring this back up again ... I don't think this is worthy of a bug ticket but should still be passed on by Delloda perhaps.

OK, All I am saying is that once I had finished ALL white missions on every planet in Gemini, I was missing 4 BPs still, and all 4 were found on Technatoria. Whatever they are called it is the two highest Materializers and two highest Repair Fields (or Repair Targets, can't remember which one). That means that there are NO BP missions for these four BPs and I was just wondering if this has been fixed. I have also uncovered another problem on Vega 4 on Solaria server that I will start a new thread about.
