Im new, Need help please-unplayable

Hi, im new to the game and really would like to try it out but every time I log in to the game the space screen tries to load and it freezes my entire computer up.

I have all the latest drivers, my computer is pretty new also, and I made sure I had the latest Java installed including the recommended hotspot edition.

I am able to control alt delete and cancel the process but it takes about 2 minutes to get done with the extreme system lag.

Im Running WIndows XP Home Edition

256mB Video card- Nvidia 6800

2.8 GHZ Pentium D

60 GIG HD

4 GIGS RAM

15 MB Cable Internet


Please help me.
