Hive white missions.

A little while ago I was doing hive white missions in a squad. The squad leader chose the missions form his available mission list although they were ahead of me on them. It allowed me to join in and do the missions but after many of them were completed I noticed that the other squad members were getting them accredited as they were in the correct sequence but I neither got the reward nor the mission achieved.
When raising this with support I was told that doing them in squad was abusing the system. My answer was that if this was the case then the others were also doing these missions in a squad we were all abusing the system.
I suggested that they change it to the same system as the story missions where you cannot join in unless they are in the correct sequence but was not given any support nor assistance on this.
Has anyone else been in the same position on white missions and if so what are your thoughts on it?

U can do white missions that u don't have listed yet but you won't get rewarded on completion. Nothing more than that. U get reward when you catch up on those missions in your own mission board. Been on that path before myself. No biggie.

If you are also aiming the white mission achievement as well then keep in mind, that some (if not all) of the white missions are supposed to be done in solo. You get reward for doing them in squad, but it will not update in your achievement list.
It happened to me not that long ago and this was the reply from support and this is how it works now.

Whites achiev: only for solo, exceptions are Cryonite Bounty (5, 10 and 15 harvs) and Tournament Race.
Pirate achiev: Story and Whites with pirate mode on, can be done in squad but only if done solo also counts for Whites.
Story achiev: no squad restriction, if done with pirate mode on also counts for Pirate achiev.
Squad achiev: all Story missions done in squad, only counts if all squad members have the same pirate mode status (on or off), if done with pirate mode on also counts for Pirate achiev.

As said before, whites not yet unlocked don't count for any achievement.
