I hate dying!!! could you at least make it so that when your health is at 20%, its stars blinking red and green making a siren sound. this would help alot!

I had a slightly similar idea, where you can see visual damage, at about 80%, you'll get hull damage, and when you are really close to dying, burning plasma will leak from your reactor

great idea!even better if when you die you explode and what kills you dies!

Pbuh had that idea too, a weapon named the revenge bomb, it doesn't kill the opponent but it deals a lot fo damage but only goes on if you have it activated and you die

Maybe if you are in a armor ship. (The ship with orange background) You could drop a aggro bomb when you die!! :D

good idea, because as a engineer, or other squad member it is a good warning.

Or even better, smoking ships if they are on 90% damage.

so:

50% low glowing ship

80% high glowing ship

90% high glowing and smoking ship

Maybe you can just make the health bar bigger and have warnings.

would be fun.. ur ship starts showing smoke etc..

would be hard on cpu tho having all these different stated of ships with their <smoke,sparks,damage etc> animation on a busy day ^^ but they should be able to find a way to bypass this problem :mrorange:

Damaged ships shouldn't be too big an issue for slow computers, it just means adding a couple of extra bits to the existing ship models. And most of the planets have smoke or haze effects dotted about the place, the physics would need refined a tad for ship movement but on the whole, a great idea!

well it will cause more data traffic as there more impulses and more different hit points..

SS has been doing all sorts of stuff to cutdown on data traffic <think avatarsin buddylist that dont change,before it were ships that changed when player changed ship.. think 2 or 3 times they reduced the critical hit flash etc> so using that won bandwidth space for all sorts of little traffic items that will result in the same traffic in the end might not be a right decision..

LOL! XD You and yer word swaps...
I like the idea of a noise perhaps, like a warning siren. It not only adds indication, but also strikes a sort of frenzied could-pod feel to the thing, especially coupled with the battle music!

Nice idea. As per plasma? Hm... that's tricky... but SS has surprised us before (faster collector) so who knows?
