I just do not get it! You people spend so much time changing the game parameters and messing with peoples money, it's no wonder the game can't get fixed!

In my world, where sanity prevails, when you buy something like a game/membership, the rules/parameters of the game do not change on a daily basis. And, most importantly . . . not to the consumers disadvantage. It has become more than ridiculous. It's become outright fraud!

Pirate Galaxy is not in BETA! Pirate Galaxy is on the commercial market, collecting payment from the consumer. How can you justify taking a customers money for a game set at a certain set of parameters, and after you get thee customers money changing those parameters to suit your mood? Were Pirate galaxy still in BETA and not open to consumer usage, it would not be an issue.

Thus far, since I started paying for membership in this game . . . you have changed:

The "e" Energy Generator calculation for memberships numerous times.
The specific features of the individual memberships numerous times.
Changed the strength of the mantis, making them stronger numerous times.
Changed the strength of players weaponry, reducing their strength numerous times.
You have created SOL which coupled with your server lag makes it almost impossible to do the missions.
And now, you have limited the ability of senior players to assist junior players.

THIS IS NOT WHAT I PAY YOU PEOPLE TO PROVIDE FOR ME! And, if you are not going to honor what I paid for with my monthly payment . . . GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK.

It is already stupid that I pay for boosters that do nothing. But, you people further add to the offense by taking my money for a booster, then increasing the strength of the mantis and reducing my strength . . . all in the same freaking day!

This is absolute madness, and you are messing with my money while you do it. AT NO TIME DID I AGREE TO THE CHANGING OF THE GAME AFTER I PAID FOR IT.

I could give a rats behind your reasons, slowing down the game, preventing fast ranking by assistance from others, or anything else you may use for justification. I paid for a quicker game! I paid for being able to assist junior players! I paid for being able to do a mission in one or two tries instead of thirty!

YOU PEOPLE ARE NOT UPDATING THE GAME TO FIX IT, PATCH IT, OR MAKE SIMPLE IMPROVEMENT! YOU ARE UPDATING THE GAME TO CHEAT THE CONSUMERS. AND I, FOR ONE FIND IT OFFENSIVE, POSSIBLY AN ACT OF DEFRAUDING THE CONSUMER, AND POSSIBLY IN VIOLATION OF CONSUMER PROTECTION LAWS.

GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK! EVERY DAMN CENT OF IT! AND, I WILL WALK AWAY! I HAVE ALREADY WASTED MONTHS OF MY TIME PLAYING THIS GAME, WHILE IT COST ME MORE AND MORE EACH DAY TO THE POINT OF DISGUST. GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY!

( I would appreciate it if this post would actually make it to the desk of the SplitScreen CEO.)

Thank You,

datajam

Please read our terms and condition which will answer all of your post. I'm disinclined to repeat myself again with another essay response. We are fully aware of European consumer laws and abide by them to the letter. The fact you say that you don't care for our reasons means that whatever i write will not be accepted. I speak for the CEO and i have his backing 100% which is why he hired us.

This is clearly a rant about the recent feature to stop power leveling of low level players, ruining the story for them.

Good God datajam, put a sock in it. . . in fact, use a couple pairs, go for the world record. Is there anything about the game that actually pleases you? Listening to your constant rants is like having a hypochondriac working in a biological weapons factory. Your always coming down with something.

Games are always evolving, especially online games, if they don't, the die, simple as that. Changes can be good or bad but it always changes. Give it a break, it seems your the only monkey in the tree shaking the branches.

You know what? You are right. It appears as though I am the only one that cares about the costs of playing this game, and the constant changes that take away the fun that we used to have. Enough said!

As Osirus once pointed out; "I got a great monopoly game if you want it !"

I've walked away from this game a coupla times, when it started getting to me mentally and emotionally, which I think is happening to you too, dude. A month away from it brought my blood pressure back under control, and I was once again able to enjoy it.

I would suggest you do the same; take a deep breath, and walk away. Come back when you feel up to it, ok ??

As has been pointed out, ALL online games go through development of one sort or another, it helps to keep the game fresh and exciting/interesting. Now, I dunno what the laws are about getting money for such games, so am gonna stay out of that part of the argument.

Suffice it to say, though, if you're not happy, just ask Osirus for that great monopoly game he's got, ok ??

uhm...when did Splitscreen hold the .45 to your head and make you put money in???
i play for free... i buy membership or an E pack every now and then just for a lil added kick.

YOU WENT ON THE gAS SITE, YOU PUT IN YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS AND YOU GAVE THEM PERMISSION TO TAKE YOUR MONEY.

its like you bought a car and crashed it, then expected the dealer to replace it or refund you....madness!!!!

like a previous poster said...go take a lil holiday somewhere in the sun and preferably somewhere that doesnt have internet service and relax...your guna implode with all this useless rage ur expressing towards the wrong people...they(SS) didnt take your money...YOU gave it to them!!!!!!!!!!!

its not like buying a car and then crashing and asking them to replace it it its more like buying a car and when they deliver it they have changed the spec without asking u. membership should never be changed without notice or at least a poll to ask paying members if they are in favour of the change first. but some in game changes just aint worth crying about as well

OK, here is a much better example I think that explains Datajam's issue. You buy a car that has a V-6 engine. After having it for a year, they come, tow it to the shop, replace the V-6 for a smaller 4-cylinder, then give you your car back. They now expect you to pay for the car as if it still had the V-6. They in fact did reduce the value of the car by modifying it for the worse. Now where this gets sticky is at what point does SS do this? This is my point of view. I buy a membership for x amount of money for 30 days. IF SS makes any changes other than to FIX a bug, they should not affect my already paid for membership. My membership should stay AS IS for the duration. Now, on the other hand, once my membership runs out and time comes to renew it, IF SS has made any modifications to the game, I MUST accept those when I renew, otherwise, I should not renew. It would seem that Datajam is both right and wrong in this light. He is correct that SS should not be modifying an ALREADY PAID FOR membership. We pay for a service as stated and understood at the time of payment. Modification of that service should not happen for the duration of said membership, that is where Datajam is right I feel. Where he is wrong is to expect that the game to stay the same month after month of HIS freewillingly renewing his membership. If he does not like or accept the changes that SS has made upon his renewal, then DO NOT RENEW. This really is a very simple matter.

Well sbatten, there is a little flaw in your statement.
You do NOT renew your membership yourself, it goes automatically.
Even worse, you have to physically STOP your membership.
Therefore once you start a membership the conditions should not chance for the duration.

Hmmmm........ impossible (but fun to think about).

I've gotta back data up for a little bit.
If anyone can tell me whats wrong with this picture he (or she) get one cryonite crystal. :D

You see these are the things that make me NOT spend real money, I don't mind harvesting E but somebody at splitscreen thinks that people gonna buy E if the yield is to low.

Think again !

If more people are like me, it cost you money.

Manual or automatic is really irrelevent in this context. The point is to now allow the membership to renew if you are dissatisfied with the services or terms and conditions of the membership. And you DO NOT have to physically stop your membership, but rather it will automatically renew ONLY if there is sufficient gold in your account. Its not like SS is going and automatically taking money from your bank account or charging your credit card. So the only way that it will continue to renew is if you keep buying gold, which is the whole point of the thread. And again, I do agree that once you do buy a membership, that membership should not change in any way whatsoever until it runs out. To be fair, this should include even bug fixes or anything else that improves the game. :)

P.S. Nice pics .. does show a little oddity in e distribution. Also, if you look at lz on Terasa, e is around 25, but best places on Vega 4 is 45-55. Too much overlap if you ask me.

Look at your map, bottom right corner is still uncovered, and what riku means,
under the black, there is a treasure e spot with the highest e on Lustra.
Just take your ship and go there if you want higher E.
This game is a question of discovering surprises under black.
:sneaky:
