Giant Drone = WOW

This mission from terasa is prolly the wrongest thus far for me. Yes I have tried to tackle it by myself. But being in an Engineer, I would hope it would do me some kind of justice. I just think it's kinda funny. Finding a protector took about a week. Then this mission comes along right afterwards, making shielding useless. Is this the type of gaming I can come to expect further into the game? Am I going to unlock different tech, just so the next mission makes them useless? If so I am done. I like a challenge but this is just ***** silly.

This mission shouldn't be too hard, I guess, done it often alone in any class but a Tank. Engineer should actually be a usefull ship since you can use your protector to not get stunned.

Anyway, who said that you needed to buy an engineer?

Storm Ships are much better in the begin of the game.

heres a solution, get in a squad and do it, and yes in gemini you will unlock new tech, the engi has the materializer which can resurrect pods, storms have at thermoblast that can set fire to its opponents, tanks have aggrobombs that can make a big boom, and stuns have a stun-dome that does exactly what it sounds like. in sol you get a sniper ship as a rare ship, which has a sniper blaster, attack droid, orbital strike and attack buff. in draconis you get a defender, which has an attack turret, a repair turret, sticky bomb, and minelayer

I did this mission solo in a Vega ship on PTR! But then that was the PTR wasn't it?

I do hereby apologize for the use of foul language. It was never my intent to make such a big fuss over it. I took the various tid bits of info that you guys/gals offered and in the end did manage to defeat it. I didn't on the other hand do this by myself. I sq'ed with one other pilot and we (I mean he) killed it. the next mission was even more of a challange. but at least I could use the shield. To the one that said the protector could still be used in the Giant Drone mission....obviously doesn't know what he/she is talking about. Yes it protects your from stun. this doesn't matter on the other hand when he can OUT RIGHT penetrate your shield, tank or otherwise and deal his damage to you strait.

The only thing I would like to ask at this time is how does one lvl in this game? Grinding I get. But where?
I don't get anything for xp in anyother place in Vega aside from aurora. And there I get blown up. any further and I get blown up.

Btw, noone told me to use the engineer, I figured since I am a support type player, it would be a good fit for me and it has been. Can't wait to see what the Defender Class ship is like. thanks again guys...and sry

I assume you use an Vega Engineer, a very strong ship, still.

Lacks firepower, but great deal of defence.

The defender will only come in role in the latest developed system.

To rank up, try the lowest rank on Terasa, it would have been easier with a vega storm, but a Engineer is still good. Maybe do some boring white missions, protect the transporter, race missions are the most fun.

Um, yes I was in fact using the first engi ship from Vega. I would still like to know where to lvl though as I a now lvl 18, I have an antares engineer ship but can't use most of the tech till lvl 20. If anyone could help me out with where to solo lvl, or even sq with me and help me lvl like that, would be great......my pilot's name is Garados. thanks again
