Game Update September 11, 2024

Around 9:45 AM UTC+2, game servers will restart for a game update to be deployed.

RavenDynamics XIII Changes
  • Made preparations for the upcoming RavenDynamics event!
  • Adjustments to the event's Reactor Challenge
    • Increased event challenge boss range to 150% Sniperblaster range.
    • Increased event challenge boss HP by 10%.
    • Slightly reduced the amount of Raven signets rewarded for completing waves.
    • Adjusted cooldowns, weapon & view ranges of multi-target items of the event challenge boss.
    • Restored 60 seconds event challenge wait time between waves (up from 45 seconds in RavenDynamics XII).
      • The wait time can still be skipped manually.
Armene Reactor Challenge Specific Fixes
  • Attempted to fix an issue that caused a particularly high network load in certain situations during the Armene reactor challenge, which could lead to a sharp decline in connection quality for pilots.
General Reactor Challenge Related Changes & Fixes
  • Reduced Disperser and Juggernaught HP by 30%.
  • Fixed Behemoth blaster VFX.
Mission Related Fixes
  • Fixed drones no longer properly marking resources in Sirius mission "Hidden Gas Resources".
  • Fixed visual items in Sirius mission "The Plague".
Controls Related Changes & Fixes
  • Added vertical keyboard camera movement with key bindings using the same modifier as the mouse movement (ALT + arrow keys/WASD).
  • Fixed vertical camera movement to be consistent over all zones.
UI Related Changes & Fixes
  • OTB Conquest enlisting UI can now handle 3-digit pilot numbers (Hi there, Gaia pilots!).
  • Fixed a bug that could cause the HP/Shield bar visualization on the client to misbehave (e.g. Shield bar jittering non-stop).
Visual Changes & Fixes
  • Fixed incorrect average calculation for the ship size.
    • This could result in different camera zoom distances for the same ship, for example.
    • Also fixes the issue that different ship sizes were being calculated for the same ship model in different situations, resulting in visual effects scaled incorrectly in these situations.
  • Increased maximum zoom out distance from the player ship on planets.
  • Fixed max zoom in distance (now based on correct ship size).
Other Changes & Fixes
  • Reverted the August 14 change for "Improving skill Item use validation checks for PVE units" because it didn't always work as expected in every game situation.
  • Fixed that players were unintendedly able to trigger a self kill resulting in deactivation of the Pirate Mode etc.
  • Fixed incorrect effort calculation for target healing effects which could cause the wrong units to generate effort:
    • Aggrobeacon => beacon generates the positive effort
    • Allies Cover => caster generates the positive effort
    • Damage Inverter => caster generates the positive effort
  • Fixed that level 92/93 Resurrectors in death squads utterly failed at resurrecting.
  • Fixed too low energy use of Mizar Aggrobeacon items.
  • Fixed that multi-target items of various NPCs sometimes failed to properly affect potential targets.
  • Fixed the issue that aggro was affecting drops from unit kills.
