Feature request: Signature widgets

Hi Guys,

So here is a cool idea which would help a lot in advertising the game. I want a forum signature graphical widget which I can put in my signature for this forum and other forums I write in. Other internet games have this too.

I know it's hard to imagine what I talk about, so to avoid showing other games widgets here is my torrent widget:

Removed your sig, as you are advertising another game with it.
I know it was an idea you had, but surely if you look through several users you have seen the PG signature.

and I can add this to any of my forum signatures in forums where I write. This is a dynamic picture - it will change every time I change something in the site - in this case if I upload a new torrent file or something. The website which generated this also generated a ready-to-paste both BBCode string and HTML string so I can choose which to use and I can just copy-paste it into my forum signature.

Speaking of PG, imagine this as a little graphic in PG style, showing my pilot name (separate widget per each pilot used, for people using more than one), showing my level and something else too. Why not even showing my currently used ship in small picture.

I've noticed the GMs and forum admins currently use custom-created pictures for signatures, while this could be cooler. Of course everybody is free to use a graphic of his choice, but a widget is really a standard modern tool.

Don't think the development would take much time. Let's say version 1 could show just pilot name, level and pirate status on a picture with simple space background (black background with some stars on it).

Exactly. I had no idea PG had it - why nobody uses it? Neither you do and you're a GM (staff is supposed to give example I think)?

And I don't advertise anything. Just words would be too hard to explain what I mean so I tried to show. Speaking of which also if you took a look at the only torrent I seed you would notice it's not illegal at all - I have the official permission of the copyright owner (you can ask the guy).

But torrents are another topic. Point is - 1) I don't advertise 2) my torrent is not illegal and finally - PG have the functionality, so case closed

To your comment of why staff isn't using the PG signature, every user at this forum is free to use any sig they want, as long as it follows the rules, so is the staff.
