Why can't you make it when players already have purchased equipment, let them just transfer it to other ship instead of having to repurchasing it. It would let players save on cryonite.

Because would you transfer a small tiny engine from a small car to a monster truck??

Well new ships = new equipment lol. Game would be too easy if you could 'swap' Tech around

What I was trying to say is if you already have a ship with all equipment and you buy a new ship why repurchase the equipment just transfer it to new ship until you are able to purchase the equipment for that ship.

There are only 4 basic items, Blaster, RD (Repair Droid), Collector and AB (AfterBurner)
The rest of items are not usable in different class ships
Storm, Tank, Shock and Engineer has all it's own special items, costs are not the same from item to item,
so it would not be possible to just transfer from ship to ship, and to buy the same ship twice has no sense.

Foremost that should not really be fair to the old players cause we have to had purchased each item separately as it is now.
You have no idea how hard we really have grind for to get the ships till Draconis, and the cost of each items installed, but many of us can be proud of the achievement of ourselves with a fine collection of ships from Vega to Draconis. That has been Millions of cry used to pay for it.
Why should the game turn to be a so much easier game for new players?
There has already been so many changes with time what has actually made it much easier for new players, than what we had, but also some issues has become harder.

may I say that this actually helps the higher players even more?

When you have a STAM R-Storm with earth tech,

what does cost more?

sell your earth tech and buy earth tech on your STAM S-Lighting Storm?

or

just moving the tech from both?

same for the STAM S- to the META ships.

and what you say here is that you can't switch the weapons between the items as they use differant numbers.

well, actually you can, you switch the weapons between the price categories.

So if I had a shield, i could get a aim computer back.

however, sadly this system gets disrupted somewhere in the end game...
