End of cooperation with Bigpoint

Dear Bigpoint users,

Cooperation between Bigpoint and Splitscreen will expire soon.

Pirate Galaxy will no longer be playable from the Bigpoint portal, but your account and pilots will be transferred to a splitscreen account so that you can continue playing.

We will clarify the exact procedure for the transfer as soon as possible. Once we know more, we will notify you with this.

Bigpoint - Splitscreen Conversion

As all hopefully already know the partnership between Bigpoint and Splitscreen is about to end.
However all Bigpoint users will be converted into Splitscreen users. The changes for you are the following:
Beginning September the 28th Bigpoint user can't login through Bigpoint portal anymore.
All former Bigpoint users have login through http://www.pirategalaxy.com or play in fullscreen through the client (available at http://www.pirategalaxy.com).

You have to login with your normal data (username and password), simply select Splitscreen Studios as your portal.

After login you have to verify an email address and play as normal. From now on you also have to use our shop and prizes.
The full support, from account, to forum and ingame up to payment is stays the same and will be done by us (Splitscreen) and our partners as before.

All the data, the servers and the game staff stays the same. You can play with all your data like normal except from the different location to login.

We would like to thank Bigpoint for the partnership and hope you players keep enjoying the game.

Bigpoint - Splitscreen conversion

At least we got the Data from Bigpoint and are already working a few hours on converting the users.

A lot of the users are already converted and can login with their Bigpoint Account and password in the game.

If someone created a new account (since friday) on Splitscreen with the same data your Bigpoint Account had the Bigpoint Account will overwrite the data from the Splitscreen Account, meaning you will have your pilot from your Bigpoint Account and not the pilot you might have played since Friday on Splitscreen.
This action might take a bit longer and the above workflow is not 100% sure, so it might be some other workflow and take some more time.

And last, some users that have special characters in their usernames have to wait till tomorrow to be converted in this limited time we were not able to create a working workaround that is tested properly to ensure nothing will be lost.

PS.: Thanks also to the Bigpoint employees that were assisting us to get the data we needed to ensure you can enjoy the game much longer with your normal account.

Ok, everone that can't login (not register) yet at the game with their Bigpoint username and password on http://www.pirategalaxy.com and/or you don't have your pilot with the account because you registered or another Splitscreen Account with the same username exists then you have to wait till tomorrow.

Unfortauntely we were not able to find a solution today and the rest of the users that currently can't login have to wait some more.
Actually we can't say we will find a solution tomorrow but we are trying our best to make a working solution for all of you.

We are about 100% sure now that this week we won't be able to offer a solution to those bigpoint user that still have a problem.

Hopefully you still have some patience left and forgive it, that the transfer was not as good as it could have been. Delays, complications and corrupt data are causing us a lot of problems.

We have discovered two "tricks" to allow bigpoint users to continue playing until we get everything switched over! This only works for players who have not been swtiched yet.

Trick 1:

1st Login to Bigpoint (http://www.bigpoint.com)
2nd Click on "My Games" at the top right, exactly under the "Logout" button.
3rd In the dropdownlist select "Pirategalaxy" and enjoy playing.

Trick 2:

1st Login to Bigpoint (http://www.bigpoint.com)
2nd Click on messages at the top below your name.
3rs At the right section of the page in the "My Games" section click on the "Let the fun begin!" link next to PirateGalaxy.
