Disappointing Event Ships

I can countenance the fact that the Xmas event is a repeat of last years event. I can even put up with the poor design of the event ships (mmm...not even worthy of gold bp status which I suppose shows that even the devs feel a little ashamed). Obviously the creative juices have almost run dry in the dev office (Sirius has shown that). In fact I suppose I should be thankful that there is an event this year given how the game has regressed.

But what is especially disappointing is that you cannot customize said event ships. I was hoping to give them last years Xmas colour schemes to at least try and throw some festive cheer on a pretty sad PG.

Oh well probably to big an ask for an already overworked team I suppose.
