Ok, here's something, I was thinking about the PVP and CQ situation. CQ is boring, usually one sided and too expensive to be worth considering especially if you're just aiding an ally.
1. Allied clans don't get anything out of it if they help their allies in a CQ, this should be changed so that they at least get some of the same bonuses the main owning clan gets. Allied clans could get half of the crystal bonus the main clan does and also, allied pilots should be able to land on the CQ worlds owned by their allies. It makes it fairer, and gives the allies more of a reason to help out other than just blind loyalty. To be honest this game needs more of a community other then the whiny, foul mouthed brats going around at the moment and this would help ^.^
2. You made it so that clans would have to pay cryonite in order to participate in a CQ. Not really a bad idea, it just doesn't work because it makes less reason to commit to a CQ. Make it less expensive in the higher systems or at the very least space out teh CQs a lot more, like once every week or two, for the higher systems. The bonus would last longer and make it more worth while.
3. Space out the CQ times, make them random and at any time of day. So like, one day Cosmo could be at 10pm (GTM) and on another day they could be aaat 4pm (GTM) and on another 7pm (GTM). This would be for the same effect as what you intended when you put in th participation fees for CQ, but it'll work much, much better.
No one clan would be able to completely dominate the CQs anymore for more than a week, it would create better competition for them, and on top of the better, fairer bonuses for them, the extra uncertainty would end the dull boring game play the highest ranked players are experiencing. If only a little ^.^
4. This last suggestion is for PVP. In each system you could make one planet dedicated solely to PVPing. The pvp world would have the same limiters and rules as the CQ planets to make it fair for newer players. The Difference being that you'd get no bonus for winning except saticfaction that you just blew the other pilot to bits, it would just be for fun to settle boredom, or 'take it outside' so to speak ^.^
Also it could incorporate some of the Event planets rules into it:
You can't see the names of other pilots until after they've killed you by going into the pilot history tab.
Clan and buddy list won't stop you firing on anyone.
You can't land if you're not in pirate mode.
You can't land if you're in a squad.
The landing zone is the whole planet.
The tactical map is none existant here.
Also you can put up a tab for use in orbit so you can keep a tally of how many pilots you've popped down on the PVP planet in a week. A week would be when the tally is reset to zero and players would have to rebuild their scores again in order to remain top dog on that planet ^.^
Hmm, I think that just about covers it all for now
Oh and of course, you'd be able to land on the PVP planet when ever you want.
Now I am done, feedback anyone?
