I had a little (big) idea that involves charging a core up.
Now I have 2 possible ways of using it:
1. New Type of Ship
This new type of ship would be differant to other ships. It keeps his 4 basic weapons, but the blaster can charge up a core that is able to use very strong weapons. This charging takes time and it will decrease if it is not maintained. It also decreases when special weapons are used. I had a few weapons in mind:
1. Core Blast - 25% Core
Shoots away an energized rocket that creates a small explosion.
2. Charge - Energy - gives 5% Core
Charge to your enemy, so you can suprise him and stun him for 2 seconds.
3. Absorber - 50% Core
Absorbs 20% of the damage that comes in
4. Overdrive - 90% Core
Recharges stuff like the repair droid fast
This new ship could be called the charger as it charges up its core that is used for the weapons. It will have a very low energy usage, but makes this up by the fact that it's pretty useless in the beginning of the fight and will have very low damage in the begin, but once it gains 25% of the cores full energy it can do a lot more damage and on 50% core it already begins to become pretty strong.
It needs his time to kill so it should have high armor, between defender and tank around ~150

Option:
2. Cores
Cores could be an addition to the sirius system that grants special powers, it will be like armor. You can choose between a few differant cores that have all a differant effect. One of these can be the Charge Core that can charge up energy and have special weapons that can use this same as the charger ship.
I tought of some cores all with 1 special ability by pressing number 9 or 0.
Internal Fusion Core
- Infects a ship with massive nanobots that create such an internal heat that the enemies armor begins to melt and decrease health. (Aka Time Damage) Use the Special Weapon Internal Fusion to activate.
Zero Point Freezing Core
- Makes the enemies ship as cold as Zero Point slowing the ships mechanisms down.
(Aka stun) Use the special weapon Zero Point freezing to activate.
Charging Core
- Charge your core up by using your blaster, then activate the Core Blast to deal damage.
Plasma Speed Core
- Speeds up your core and your weapons reloading time. (Auto Speed Actuator)
- Special weapon: Full Recharge to recharge your weapons immidiatly
Antimatter Explosion Core
- Adds antimatter charges particles to your weapons that can do small AoE damage (Auto AoE for blaster, increased AoE for other weapons as aggrobomb and rockets)
- Special Weapon: Core Explosion to create a small aggrobomb around you.
Bio Dark Matter Core
- Adds recharging health in the form of biological live forms to your ship. (Auto Repair)
- Special Weapon: Bio Shield to create a weak shield to protect you from damage
(Aka, mantis tech)
