Bug with Expose Preparation

where you have to go back to CC to get AM bombs from isaak to blow up this wierd invisible imperial thingy on mars, well, it's kinda impossible to do, for one thing isaak doesn't spawn where he's supposed to, two, he goes over walls and gets himself killed, three, mantis go over walls and kill him before i can get there! even with someone there to protect him it still doesn't work because he goes over the walls...

EDIT: managed to finish it thanks to Lool and Proteus who guarded isaak till i got there ^^
but still, quite annoying especially for someone without backup...

astraeus, this is a very common bug, and SS should already know it, it's the same as on bombs needed

This mission has been investigated by a GM and reported as bugged.

In order to complete this mission - until it is fixed - you need to have 2 pilots who are not in squad. One pilot goes to Isaak's lab and clears out any detonators and parasites that have drifted into the lab, then that pilot goes to the open room where the dets hang out and keeps it clear of any spawning detonators and occasional death squad.
Meanwhile, the second out of squad pilot travels to the very end of the long corridor south and outside of Isaak's lab (around location 8/28) and kills all the parasites.

Now the pilot who is actually doing the mission can accept it in Mars orbit and travel to Commerce Central to meet up with the dim witted Isaak. If he spawns inside the lab... GREAT! But it was our experience that he spawned both in the locations where the out of squad pilots were stationed - AS WELL AS inside of the wall. The out of squad pilots simply keep the area free of mantis until the mission pilot arrives and coaxes Isaak to follow.

Note. In the past - after a recent update - pilots who were not doing the mission were still able to see Isaak as a sort of a shadow ship and act as an escort easily. Now however, Isaak appears as a nearly impossible to see tiny transparent square and even smaller dot accompanying the mission pilot.


It would appear that Isaak has been on Commerce Central too long and has accquired some sort of space sickness. Or he's just a total idiot.

I mean why would you fly your ship directly into a nest of mantis.. or materialize inside of a wall??? And why when he goes out into CC to collect various equiptment parts - does he apppear to not have A CLUE about where he's going - flying into and through walls... turning down wrong corridors... reversing himself... afterburning for no apparent reason... not putting on his shield when under attack... and shooting his blaster - if at all - after the party's over.

Too much mantis ale?
I can imagine him slumped over the controls laughing manically saying... "Wash thish.. I cin make thash guy follow me anywhere. Lesh see wha happenz when I plow rite inna that desh skwad... OOOps podded.. oh well. Ha Ha. Too bad, so sad. Lesh tryit again."

Fat chance, Isaak.

I can't imagine what Sara sees in him.
