With one of the latest updates on Solaria, it has become possible for Mantis to cross impassible terrain.
However, when doing the story mission "Finding Beryllium", it came to my sad notice that mission NPCs like "Isaak Handal" in my case, can now pass impassible terrain as well.
What happened next was Isaak passing the impassible terrain, to the Mantis Parasites and the Resurrector, killing himself in the process, and me failing the Story Mission.

If need for a screenshot, I can retry the mission and make one, though I guess my description would be sufficient to understand what the problem is.

Mission NPC's like Isaak, Tobias, The Admiral, etc. should not be able to do this, for they will kill themselves, like they did with my case.

Yes, I've seen this happen, I was helping someone with Isaak's Story, Isaak went off and came back with a nice DS, luckily there was four of us so we saved him, but still, this should be fixed.

I knoww, I had help as well, someone waited at isaak's spot, but he passed the impassible, and did the unthinkable o_o he got himself killed. So, I'd really like to see this added in the new patch log as well o.o"
or the patch log after it.

Well, it's doesn't really matter, even if you pass this one, then testing aggro is also bugged.

Yup, that's why I'm waiting to see what would be done about this bug. In the mean time, I can perfectly use this time to hunt for rares though <3

Testing aggro is a hard SM involving being lucky 3 times in a row (or a ton of trial and error)

Testing Aggro is bugged, I am completely sure of it, It sais we had to collect between 50% and 65% damage, I did it, maybe even to less but it still said to many, then tell me how it can not be bugged.

I'm not talking about testing aggro here, people.
Besides, this topic is about the bug involving mission NPC's being able to pass impassible terrain.
I personally experienced it (on a very negative outcome) with the mission "Finding Beryllium".

It seems to me you are doing something what I have told other players NOT to do in an escort story missions for over a year.

You are using AB when escorting.

Not one npc in a story mission will go through walls or/and land on mantis, unless you are afterburning,
if you go normally without ab, as you should do, not one mantis will climb over the hills.

This is not a bug, this is doing the mission the way you shouldn't, never AB with escorts, maybe only on later ones at SOL.

Mhh, how am I supposed to keep up with isaak when he is using one? How are we supposed to not use our afterburner if we only want to reach Isaak so we can start the escorting? How do we pass like 10 custodian commanders in the 4th draconis mission without using our afterburner to flee so we don't get pod?

All missions were you really want an afterburner to survive.

This topic was about CC missions not Draconis ones, I wrote, not later at SOL maybe, that means SOL and higher.

At CC you cannot ab when you are escorting, it has always involved the risk of escorts.
What I know and have seen at lower systems it messes up the sms if you ab when you have escorted ones.

These sms has always been done in the past without ab'in, every player knew they couldn't ab while escorting.
Sometimes it even managed to fail an sm, as the npc's stopped to follow simply.

I usually comment about what I know.

Don't bring Draconis into this.

and btw, if you don't believe me, suit yourself and good luck!

And what if isaak or sara uses there AB, I never saw they failed before when I was escorting them.

And it's not the escorting, it is the traveling to Isaak's place where it already fails before arriving, so no escorting at all.

I tink that the whole storyline has to be played again by the devs to find bugs because lately there are too many.

True. Adrana, the mission I'm talking about starts at Baumar. You then need to travel to CC.
When you're at CC, You'll have Tobias following you, and Isaak "waiting" at his workshop on CC.

Now, I agree that for the most cases you shouldn't use ab when escorting, though like Pbhuh said, the mission fails even before you get to the point of escorting Isaak. (actually him following you, but it's the same thing in a way o_o)

You need to go to Isaak's workshop when you land on CC, but the thing is, 2 things can happen:

1. Isaak lands at his workshop when you land on CC, but in doing so, He aggros either the non-mission Parasites across impassible terrain, or the dets on the other side.

2. Isaak lands succesfully, but he "hovers" too close to the Parasites/Dets on each side of the walls covering Isaak's workshop, and he gets aggrod, or he aggros them.

This way, He'll get killed even -before- I can reach him, ab or not. Besides, as mentioned earlier, I have Tobias following me, so using ab wouldn't be a wise thing to do.

And I think it very easy to fix this, make isaak only land after you reached the area.

Thats not the problem, when you land isaak lands too, and he gets himself killed before you can reach him.

This is what he is talking about people http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IRXY1tu7z4 Isaak goes through the walls before you get to him.

And no they will not fix this problem. They have made that clear. I got around the drifting by grinding for an engy and ab'ing to the spot before he gets killed and healing him.

You can also try having two people in orbit waiting for you to arrive land before you do. then go take out parasites and the detonators so he will drift into nothing.

if it ain't draconis it's broke they ain't fixin it.

That's exactly the problem I have, though i can't ab because i have Tobias following me from the LZ.
and I've already tried to do the mission with an escort out of the mission, but the darn Isaak went through the wall, and my escort couldn't reach him fast enough. 2 escorts would be the solution indeed, one at the dets, and the other at the parasites, though I still find it ridiculous.

This is -not- how it's supposed to be. If the devs take a look at this video, they will understand. (hopefully)
So, I think I've gathered enough opinions about this, and make a ticket.
Reason was I didn't do this immediately was because I wasn't sure about making a ticket about it, though now I have enough confidence to bug the Devs with it.
