when you scroll with the mouse wheel in the browser version, it actualy scrolles the internet page up and down, instead of zooming your ship in and out..

Not much anyone can do about this as the browser version is... on a web browser :-/

You might be able to change your browser settings to disable wheel scrolling but my advice is to just go for the client version.

i use it aswell i was just letting the gms know, like they will look at this thread anyway

Yes GMs as well as CM & PM do look at & Read the Forums

I can only reproduce this if PG is not currently in focus. What does "focus" mean? If you, for example, click somewhere outside of PG at another part of your browser, such as clicking on the lady to the right of the 3D view (Major Ivanova), then PG is no longer in focus.

If this happens even when PG is in focus, I advise you to update your browser. Up-to-date versions of firefox, internet explorer, safari, chrome and opera will work just fine.

Tested this too. If you click in the game window first then the mouse wheels zooms as normal. If you click outside the game window but still in the browser the mouse wheel scrolls. No problems on my machines.
