Luck should only count a small part of it, not ALL of it. I understand the BP rate being lowered in Sol, but this is rediculous. I was on with Midhatt last night killing harvs and he dropped 7 BPs in less than an hour!!! And I get one in 8 hours. Something should be done to set a minimum drop rate so that if a pilot has not been "lucky" enough to get a BP in 20 or so kills, it should force a drop. I am not asking for rares here, just the normal old blue ones. It took me three days to get my perfs from the imps on the Moon. A normal BP should not take that long. A rare, perhaps, but not a normal one. I am wondering if there are any other factors that the game uses other than a random number generator when determining a BP drop. Could my 33% cry booster be lowering the BP drop rate by overriding it somehow? Does membership level affect drop rates for cry or BPs? From most ppl I talk to about this, it seems like my drop rate is well below par for some reason. My BP doubler runs out in about a day so I will see if that affects it at all. If it IS working, then I will be reduced to a normal blue BP every six days. Been playing Sol now pretty much since it opened, and I have only SEEN two rares, one of which was stolen from me. Is that 187 avengers killed or 187 blue BPs dropped? I count the dropped blue BPs and figure my normal BP to rare BP ratio. I had one that I had 197 blue BPs drop before the rare. If you figure that only 1 in 5 or 10 mantis drop a blue, do the math ... this is around 1000-2000 kills for ONE rare. On the other hand, I have had an instance where I dropped a rare, then a blue, then another rare, a separation of only two. Currently, I am looking for Sanitizer rockets on Moon from lvl 57 rocketeers. I have already dropped 15+ blue BPs and killed hundreds of the blasted buggers, enough to get levels 57, 58, and I am about 20% from lvl 59. I have been up on the hill now for about 3 days ~ 15+ hours looking. I lost track of e a long long time ago lol. I can give you stats on Vega, Antares, a little on Gemini, none for Mizar, and so far on Sol. On Vega I averaged just a little over 58 normal BPs for every rare dropped. So far on Sol I am well over 100 BPs per rare. Now most of this time I was running the BP doubler booster. From what I can tell, the BP boost only increases the chance of a BP being dropped. It does not affect whether that BP is normal or rare. When Sol started, I got the 30 day 33% cry boost and the 30 day BP doubler. I have had a terrible time dropping BPs on the Moon. I think the BP boost was the issue. I went for a whole week and only saw about 5 or 6 BPs, one day I was on for 8 hours and got exactly ONE BP to drop. Once my BP doubler ran out, I can easily drop about 3-5 BPs in a couple of hours. I think possibly the cry booster was overriding the BP booster somehow. I would suggest that no one use the cry booster at the same time as the BP booster. As I have said in other posts, there should be a failsafe mechanism that after a predetermined amount of time, or number of kills, a BP drop should be forced, thus those of us with NO LUCK whatsoever, can get a stray BP now and then. It took me better part of 3 days to get the perfs to drop from the imperial snipers at the top right of Moon. That is ONE BP in three days!!! About that cry booster you are correct.
Wanted to grind some c and al i get (almost every time) was BP lol.
I still do the old trick., and it seems to work ,got 14 sol now and +- 4 doubles,and yes off course luck is a great part of it .
