So,

Maybe we should give Splitscreen some award for those great story missions they gave us.

Here you can nominate Story Missions and maybe give them a little discription.

I like "Enlightment Express" a lot so I would like to nominate it, if someone else likes this one too, then I can add a poll for multiple nominated missions.

What is Enlightment Express?

It's a mission where you first have to place an cannister of neptunes bliss,

after that you have to kill a few mantis snipers and carefully bring them to the neptune bliss, when 5 arrive, shoot it.

It's a great mission, I hope others like this one too, or maybe differant missions that are also awesome.

And then we can determine the Best "Story Mission" of PG.

I agree, the story missions are the most absorbing part of the game, and SS should be praised for them. They have great variety and are creative and clever. Although it is very difficult to solo some of them, only a few are impossible without squads, and this encourages more social interaction and teamwork as well.

I think SS have got the balance of the challenge just about right - you don't want to pass every mission the first time, but you want to feel it's possible if you work out a strategy and keep trying, say 5-10 times. There are tricks on some of them using the game's quirks and physics that save lots of time and I think have been left in by SS on purpose. :)

From recent memory.. Turret Attack on Hive. Was very challenging to solo, took hours of planning (and being podded:) Had to plan a strategy and then hold out under siege for 10 minutes (hint, it's all about the Death Squad). Very tough, and satisfying to nail it.

Also the Mantis Dungeon mission on Hive, where you have to sneak around and not be detected was a lot of fun (and frustration). And even when you've done that you still have to make a break for it and escape to orbit without being pod or running into the mine field right outside the jail. Very intense. :)

All the systems have good missions though. Gemini was one of my favourites back in the day. Isaak Handel is the man... Does anyone else remember when his wife was young and had red hair :) Ah those were the days...

yeah, his old "Wife" now lives in vega...

Turret Attack, the first time I saw it I knew that it was nearly impossible and knew that I needed a buddy outsquad to kill the DS, however, little did I know that it took even longer for players (2 months?) to finally complete it.

Yeah it was tough, till I found where the DS spawned :)

Now I am stuck on Battle Cruiser, seems too hard to solo as the cruiser gets swarmed by Mantis - and it seems there's no way to repair him if you're not an engi. A solo ship doesn't quite have enough fire power to clear the area for him.. seems like you need a squad for this one? Cool ship though.. the biggest I've seen in the game so far :)

I agree. The balance is good. Can you deny the relief you feel after spending hours on a couple of challenging missions getting one that is relatively easy? A well earned breather.

Personally I like the travel mission looking for intel in different systems and on different planets. Forget the name but we is old and suffer from memory loss....lol

The Gemini missions was probably the ones that were the most frustrating and hjorribly irritating... that's what made them so epic once you completed them... a few of the missions are a bit repetitive, but i like the setting of the story itself...

I can't speak for or against the draconis missions, i have only done a few...

I'd agree that Gemini has the best story missions in general =)

as for my favourite though, it's hard to choose, I think so far that gazi mission where you serch for Dooms lab is right up there as one of the best in my book :) and the Earth mission us and Them is pretty fun too, though nnie on impossible if you aren't in a squad ^.^
