Well, I think pg ships could have some automatic beam weapons added to it that will react on a small range, they will help you fight.

The Common one: Laser Beam, damages not much, but fires fast
The Storm one: Thermo Beam, damages not much, but fires fast and has a 5 sec burn if it gets out of range.
The Tank one: Taunt Beam, doesn't damage, but taunts.
The Engineer one: Repair Beam, heals friends slowly.
The Shock one: Stun Beam, slows you down for 50% but has no stun effect.
The Sniper one: Long Range Beam, damages not much, but fires fast and has a longer range.
The Defender one: Beam Turret, deploys a turret that fires a not much damaging, but fast firing beam.

I hope you guys like my beam idea.

I don't think it's a good idea to be honest. people would end up firing on people they don't want to, plus if you auto fire on everthing in range your wasting energy if you ain't got the top membership. Also if you're on a mission you DO NOT want to be shoting everything that happens to com within range. Hmm no I can't really see the good this one will do at all.

I think you're right...
Maybe an option to turn the autofire on and off. Right click the icon of the beam, and it Auto shoots, right click again and u fire manually, or not at all

mhh, i didn't see that. Maybe it shouldn't use energy, liek with attack droid.

and heisan, thats a good idea.

very good idea, with the switch (on, off), so we can be away with fewer problems. It helps to kill enemies.

Well think about it, you can't add everyone onto your list of buddies so if you're in pirate mode and so is someone else, that autofire system would make you shoot at tehm regardless of weather or not you want to. Also if you're going through a pack of mantis the autofire feature is going to have to firing on what ever mantis comes within range making you use energy from the weapons you're firing. That's why I think it's a bad idea, though if you add heisans idea into it then it at least becomes workable.

maybe more an attack droid addition. that it only fires at things where you first fired at.

Well that works for an attack droid but wouldn't that kill the point of auto fire for your own weapons? if you have to shoot everything yourself before the autofire kicks in?
Though it could work on something that fires at you first. but it would only work if it could fire in about the same second the opponant did or it's worthless.

Why only beam weapons?
cus I wanted to make a weapon called the Shock Beam, but that was unfair for the other classes so i came up with them.
