Have you ever found yourself annoyed at traveling 4 systems away to fill up your energy?

What if:
1. Energy Cells in all systems were to give the same amount of base energy per cell?
2. But Cell values can vary within a planet just as they do now, so places harder to get to still give more energy.
3. And have the collector itself determine the amount of energy gained per cell (as multiplier of the base cell energy)?

- The advantage of better collectors become innately obvious to players. The number that pops up when they collect an energy cell is telling. The shiny looks shinier!
- All locations become equally viable for playing.
- Better immersion. Improved technology leading to more efficient extraction of a natural resource.
- You won't have everyone who's not doing a mission being pressured to crowd one corner of lustra, since it'll be possible to not spend 95% of the time gathering energy in other places.

Maybe the higher rank your player, The more e you get per cell

I think this really is counterintuitive. Less E is used in Vega system for ships functions, etc. so E should not need to be large there. If you are in a much lower system with your high level ship, then you should need to go to a higher level system to fill up quicker. This makes complete sense to me. Why is everyone wanting to change the game just to be totally lazy? :sneaky:

And it definitely won't be! A low rank collector will result in low amounts of energy. New players have no way of obtaining massive amounts of cry needed for high rank collectors, and they won't be able to do missions with one of those anyway! Vega class ship/mods will still yield roughly the same amount of energy per cell as they do now in Vega.

If they want quick/emergency energy, gold can be used.

But why? ^^
You say it "makes sense" to you, because you are habituated to the current system. That is fine.
But to be quite honest, it makes little sense to me, and the system seems to be contributing much dissatisfaction, as can be noted from other threads around here.

The goal here isn't to be lazy, it is to give you more ways of having fun, and more often, by mitigating the situations that you would avoid due to excessive travel etc. Don't tell me that you find spending 30 minutes in travel, much of it staring at a totally uneventful intergalactic travel screen, to/from your favorite e spot because you totally ran out of e to be fun.. On the other hand, is clicking an energy cell and pressing [2] a few hundred times, fun?

Let's give this a real world context as well: If someone in Japan invents a new solar panel 10x more efficient than the current best solar panel available elsewhere, and brings the technology over to Germany and sells you one, does that suddenly make the sun 10x brighter? No. Does it need the sun to be 10x brighter to yield its 10x more power? Again, no... it simply is better at converting the natural resource. Similarly, an advanced collector would be more efficient. But Advanced technology costs $$$$$. :)

Maybe the higher rank your player, The more e you get per cell
This is roughly what this is, except in a rational framework rather than "design magic".
Plus, the player gets to make a gameplay decision: Buy a better gun now? Get better E? pick one! :D

I don't care collecting E, I only hate the max.

today they use this formule:
(Lvl x 100)+100
or
(lvl x 100) + 150

Better would be:
something like:
(LvL² x ? ) +/- ?

The amount of energy increases by 150 every time its an odd number and 50 every time its even or atleast i think it works that way but it is a good idea
