Ok so thing is you want a name change or are new to the game and want a pilot name its taken nevermind think of something else again taken ok so try again.... fine thats the nature of the beast however you look into these pilots and realise that they have last logged in 1-2 years ago played for about 12 mins and never logged in again.Is there no way that after say a year or maybe longer the name reverts back to say space pirate 1234 etc etc ? I mean if contacted before and informed of long absense then fare enough .I mean other wise you turn to using -pilot- or p-i-l-o-t you get the idea .If its not possible then i understand fare enough .

I think the truly good names are the ones that are truly original. So by my own definition my names stinks . However, if someone else already has a name I wanted to use I would want to take the opportunity to come up with something truly original. A name that no one has seen before might just be a name no one forgets. This could be your first step to becoming a truly unforgettable player.

I think if you play the game and make yourself a good pilot it really wouldn't matter how cool your name sounds because if you become a very good pilot of your ship everyone will know your good which in-turn makes your name sound cool because you are cool. lol just my 2 cents. and remember to play hard, play good, and never underestimate your opponent in a pvp.

Yes, and Dooms-Day is also very original.

Fact is that Death is a common used name in any game where there are pvps, so for sure several players would use it after you Death-hunter. So it's never something what would be original.
Killer is another one so much overused. Everyone want to show they are bad boys and girls.

Nor the names copying some other game characters, or from TV is not original, something what you make up for yourself can be counted as such.

Not even my player name stands out as original.
