A question to Astraeus..re- "intellectual property rights"

I just read Astraeus's post regarding why SS can't transfer our Gamigo accounts. I have a question... is Gamigo planning on selling? I heard they were selling and have been concerned about what will happen to my PG account if this happens.
Image If Gamigo agreed to release our information would this be a possibility? Image I understand they own the "intellectual property rights," but has SS asked, or be willing to request this property from Gamigo so that our accounts may be transferred?

no matter if gamigo went bust and closed down our game data will still be there just our log in details will have gone so not all would be lost if amigo did run off with our log in details

What I want to know is why carbon copies of the game data cant be created under a split screen account, and thus bypass the need to transfer the account. Or why we cant just log in through split screen but have all our payments through gamigo, as this would mean no financial loss for them, and a more secure portal for us.

The problem is that none of us really understand the legalities of it which are actually quite complex. All I know is that SS should at least be making an effort to help instead of distancing themselves from the problem.

Why cant SS just do what WhatEver suggests in this post http://forum.pirategalaxy.com/viewtopic.php?f=381&t=21659 and make an almost exacted copy of our accounts and just leave one e cell one bp part or 1 cry

I think what SS is trying to explain is that until Gamigo transfers the "rights" to SS they cant do anything since they dont legally own this data. Gamig owns this data and until they release ownership to SS their hands are tied. So, its not as if SS isn't doing anything, or want to... they just cant until Gamigo decides what they are going to do with it.. We should be knocking on Gamigo's door and asking them what they are going to do instead.

I do hope other users as well will understand it as you did, I am glad to see someone really get it that SS cannot do anything towards this issue.

And what if gamigo users, maked more then 1 account for pg?

If you did not know when you log in on gamigo acocunt and go to my game, i't shows you only 1 pg account (the first one) and/or second and/or more not.

Gamigo do not respond to emails, they not pick up the phone.

This means as long they (Gamigo) *hold* the other account(s) hidden you can't play at all. That means no money for SS and Gamigo (unless a new account by SS).

Question, after what periode you delete history of gamers? 6 months or 1 year?

gamigo only own the account log in info they do not own any of the in game data I.E your ships or bps still belong to splitscreen, as us gamigo players have been saying for years that we needed so kind of back up system in case gamigo was sold or went bankrupt but splitscreen never listened and since for the first year of pirate galaxy you could only join the game through gamigo so sort of fail safe should have been in place from the very start, if splitscreen sells there company the contract between splitscreen and gamigo is void anyway as contracts are non transferable so if gamigo is selling its company they are voiding there contract and as dark side of the moon says gamigo DO NOT reply to emails about pirate galaxy
