1. its an item that was asked before and people wanted.
u can get it for free.
so instead of typing in forum; take your precious complaining time and put some efforts in your game
laziness, tears and complaints wont get you cookies.
bleh.

2. whenever its a new event; or an event that differs in some sorta ways of the past events, yes there will be glitches and mistakes.
why?
Because they are changing the normal flow of the game to something different and glitches are happening and being fixed. Don't go think they are stupid and use same glitched script over and over for events and never fix anything.
its not something necessary all built up and its not like if they would know where to look for necessary either.
the only way to test these kind of events on a whole server is to have an event with it.
different kinds of events will probably bring different kinds of glitch.
And you know what?
Most of the time '' Fixing a glitch '' will make it introduce a new different one.

3. its a game dude. you are suppose to be playing it...
if you cant enjoy it at all. because of a temporary holiday.
just leave for the time of the event and do like if it never existed.

events are absolutely not necessary.
free items are absolutely not necessary.
You know what? all these extras. everything. they could decide to put it on sale and not give any bps out for it. Yet everything that has been released in pirate galaxy has been offered for free; a certain way at a certain time. everything that i know of ( except boosters. obviously. )
They are offering you the chance! The OPPORTUNITY! to be lazy and not work for anything and buy it with your awesome shiny plastic card in your wallet! ain't that awesome???

Yup yup sir ! aint that crazy ! In this game you can have fun! and get / find / work for items and get them for free ( no wallets / cards / money / bank / credit nor houses needed ). - when there is an event.

the event last 2 weeks dude. Grab your keyboard that you threw off the 4th floor and leave it on your desk after you put back all the pieces together; take a breathe outside and come back in 3 days; the game will most likely be following its normal flow again.

And you shall transform your Anger ->>> into WILL! Will of getting Blueprints of an item that you actually would like to have!

Well gcronnie that was something of a huge rant. Let me tell you something, I have probably been playing this game, much much longer than you have, so I consider myself a PG Vet, aka a real "Oldie" in this game.

I have been here for the events, and I am happy I have got some great ships out of these for absolutely free for to add to my huge beautiful collection what I am very proud off.
Till now I haven't sold one ship since I started to play the 31st July 2009.
And if you go check, they are all fully equipped with all rares what I got for them, with exception of a SOL Engii and a SOL Storm Rank 45 what I keep for to use in lower systems, for grinding or for to help others.

Let me tell you something, you are NOT speaking for me, nor for all us so to say "Oldies", you know surprisingly we have a life, you may now ask what that has to do with this? I will tell you, maybe you was here 24/7 to get all these wonderful Mantis ships on all these events, but you know what, there are players who are Mothers, like me, and who simply don't have time to spend in the game on Holiday times, cause you know what, I rather prepare a wonderful Christmas for my family, than spend it sitting by the computer and playing PG instead.

But thats me, and so are many other women who play this game, and why not men who take care of their family, not everyone are teens or husbands,dads or wifes/mothers who will sit on a full Christmas, or Easter or whatever table where everything is ready, and you eat and after the meal you can go back to your pc, while the wife, mother, hubby, dad is washing up the dishes and cleaning up after the meal, yet for to end that work for to start prepare the servings of coffee and cake next, and after that again clean up and wash.

So don't speak at behalf of us others, speak for urself.

Then what we got more, oh yeah, some people do work, and others go to school, others travel on holidays to maybe see their gran's or gran's travel to be with their family, now wouldn't that be a shame if 1 in the family would spend all their time to try to get ships in an event instead of sitting with the family and feeling and giving love around.

I have seen many posts here requesting to get an event where players could get many of those missing ships from the event. If they, and me now got a chance for to get them we really are grateful and we appreciate it.
I am very pleased cause I now got the missing ships for my collection.
You should be ashamed of urself to be so selfish!

I know I am speaking now at behalf of many many players who had missed events and had not got these ships.

Now another thing, players are whining and moaning about how lousy events and no imagination to create new ones, I wonder why the hell haven't you then suggested in the event thread some events what would be as you please urself?

Give ideas, make an event what is possible to fulfill, see if it's easy to get the likes of everyone, you have no clue what resources they can use for to not break up the game and the balance totally.
The events are precisely created on Low system for it to be possible for every player to take part.

If you are so smart and keep on whining of everything as you do, tag urself on your shirt collar and use your imagination, and creativity and create a new event that we all would be pleased with, make the suggestion, write the story behind, and use ur imagination and stop moaning for this, and that, and everything.

I am really fed-up to see this, and you know what more, no one is forcing you to stay in this game if you got nothing good to say about it, this considers everyone who don't do anything else but moan about absolutely everything.

I love this game, I know there is up's and down's, but I really enjoy playing this, and one big reason is that you cannot get advantages over other players, I love the fact there is no trading system, also I don't see any bots, I don't see cheats, everything is handled what has been found out of players trying to cheat or gain advantage over others. You cannot either see anything being possible for to sell stuff or ships in auction sites or online shops.

You can play this game as PTP with memberships and boosters using your real money to purchase Gold, but that is our choice, we spend it cause we want.
Now that is not a must, you can play this game without paying a dime, we have had and still have many in DT that hasn't had a membership not once since they started to play in 2009, and they are doing quite well in the game, they have nothing less than what we have who use Gold.

If you are whining about loss of Gold cause you are a paying player, that is ur choice to pay, you don't have to. In every game there are downtimes when you are not able to play.
These times will bring frustration and anger, but why can't you just remember all the good you have got out of this game too, you everyone who is keeping on paying, and playing, you must have had good times as well as you are still paying, and playing rite?

Hope you managed to read this till end, I don't write much anymore, not as I did in the old forum, but when I write it is cause something touch me, no matter if good or bad.
Now you can agree with me, and like what I wrote, or you can disagree and hate what I wrote, but I did it from the deep of my heart.

Instead of a long winded reply, I'll make this quick, this is a free event which you do not have to take part in. Now, you can play the event and get some free stuff or you can go back to whatever you were doing and keep playing as normal as if the event never happened, your choice.

As for my opinion, aside from the bugs at the start, I think this a good event, it's different, it can be done solo and there's some nice items up for grabs, I also like the way the lower/new players can get the items and I've heard you can even do the event in Sirius, another bonus because as far as I know, no events have ever happened in Sirius.

I just asked one of the GMs about huge amounts of energy that is consumed by locator drones, and he say that devs are going to change that, I hope on better.
Also, one thing must be improved. That is when I locate the present, it must pop up its location on map, like a little red dot or circle. There was many times that drone say "Present located", and still I cant see it in around my ship or in target list.
The best planet to search presents is Aurora, because its most easy. Full gold ship is way too stronger than mantis in compare to other systems.

Is a good event?? Yes is
Have a lots of bugs? Yes
They try fix this ? Yes
Who dont want run this event ( wherever why, if dont like x-mas or has the ships just dont go there and done)
But problem is, if someone dont want run this event and cant play the game, the server crash and crash again and again. This is a real problem and interfer all player gameplay. If a player have membership or bps tracker or cryo Booster or wherever what more he put his money in the game is a REAL problem.
Want make a events, great do it but please dont drop all server lagged and dont make ppl spend ur money ( membership/bp tracker/etc) this is real not fair.

Well I don't know if this is positive bug or not but its very cool. No more spending energy for all types of drones. Imagine that.

I don't know also why this Anarchy clan always complaining about things. Events are wrong, their leader want to go home (BIG DEAL), no new system, blah blah blah. I mean they are the only clan that found Punisher ship three times, while no other clans in the game found it even once. Only Legios and Mysts are coming. And they are complaining the most.
