The Connection to the Server has been lost.

I have been trying to play for about 20 minutes now. I open the client (I downloaded to my PC) and it opens up shows login page I log in shows the servers. I click Solaria and hit choose server. It gives me the "The connection to the server has been lost. Please try to recconect or check the forums for an answer". I hit ok, I see the Pirate Galaxy loading page, and the entire client screen goes black. It won't close and I have to go down into processes and shut down java because ctrl alt4 won't work task manager can't shut it down either. I give up. Anyone else having problems?

Oh one more thing I didn't log off properly I just exited the program. Just FYI
