I did not get to participate in this but i already have thought about the Diffrent squad builds i would like to use in future events iv come up with basic rules i think incrase your chance of winning vs the opposing team
Now the randem team of mixed ship classes can still win depending on randem an phantom encounter/phases of a battle an how its outcome is determined. 1 mistake on an Enemys side can be a victory phase for the opponet.
communication is a very important/vitale step in victory vs an unorganized team. wanna win that cool spiecal ship that alot of players dont have? well you need to know your squad and your teammates communicate with them so they understand what you need them to do.
Higher tech can be very helpfull that tiny little percentage can make up for a mistake you may make durring the battle phase. But will not garantee a win. but if your tech is 3 stages below then mybe it can be a very big problem so none rare top bps of that system will greatly evening out he odds vs the guys who have all rares packed on there ship.
I like the idea of 5v5 for verying reasons ill list here
1. your squad build can determin your win mutch faster
2.its more balanced and more skill based then a standerd 1vs1 match
3.Your success will not be determind on who has more players on there team
Im not saying you can have some unskilled players in your team and still win.You still need players who understand the game and can communicate well with you/yourteammates so to better harminize your battles
On to the builds/counter builds (note that you can tweak them to however you feel more comfortable)
Survival Builds since there is 5 players haveing 2 engies can be considerd a survival team
example
2 Engies
1 tank
1 stun
1attack
counter
2engies or 1
2attack or 3
1stun and 1
so if u mix it up you can build a very nice squad with haveing 2 engies lots of support and firepower
but remember you ight go up agenst a team hat has only 1 engie an all firepower so find anice balance
High dmg team can consist of
1 engie
3 attk
1stun
there is a few builds that would have to be situation based builds like haveing AoE builds with 4 tanks an an engie the thery is u make your opponnets follow u in circles and all the tanks use aggro bomb at once
but 1 mistake or misfired aggro bomb can mean instant fail or if the team trys to keep you seprated
If you have 1 engie they most likely will try and destroy that first
its important to target the same enemy , even more important with attk builds like 3 or 4 att units an 1 engie built teams with stun if hey have engie
sycroniszed rocket attacks can mean instant kill with these builds
Stun teamscan counter your attack team very easily
