Screenshots, How to?

Press Ctrl +PrtSc button, open up any paint program you have on your computer.
Paste the screenshot to it. You can work on it by doing it a bit smaller, but beware that the chat will be readable still, and the names on players as well.

Then when you save the picture, name it and save in .png, .jpg, or .gif file, that you will be able to do from the format scroll down list.

Usually windows paint saves the graphic file in a .bmp, but it doesn't work on most of the forums, as it just a huge file.

With this you should be now able to use screenshots for reports or any other use.

Most laptops with smaller keyboards have a combined home/print screen button. You have to press the function and print screen buttons to do it.

I think most standard keyboards require the Ctrl+Print Scrn combo.

As I lost a sol repaire droid because of a bug and no screen dumps, I created my own screen dump program.
Above entry is useless if you pod because you have to make more then one screen dump...
Last is useless to ME, because it freezes the game for about 5 seconds, dont know why...
My own program can take 12 screen dumps in one second, on my computer with ease, sounds a beep when key is pressed and when file is saved, all in the back ground.
Later I just page through the screen dump list and in paint I alter it to jpg.
I hope these screen dumps are ok to ?

Then if you are not sending it in an email, but upload at the forum post, you will have to create an account as a site like eg. http://www.photobucket.com , it is a free, good and clean family site.
Upload your picture, and when it is done, you will have 4 different ways to copy and past the file.
Use the direct link if here at the forum, and click on Img button and past it in between, or paint the link, and click the button after that.

With this you should be now able to use screenshots for reports or any other use. [/color]

i just use fraps to take screens and make video's its all in 1 i find it handy but if you want to it on the hard way just do ....... whit fraps it easy you turn it on and you puch f10 and you have a screenie

to take a screen shoot for laptop must you press fn home (prt sc)/end-(sys rq) and then past to paint

On laptop I have done it in exactly same way as in the Post 1 at this thread.

I agree, Want a Screen in a hurry use a program that takes it and stores it for later use.
Windows puts it to clipboard you still have to paste and save it in 1 form or another.
With fraps or Screen pilot "http://screenshot-pilot.software.informer.com/1.4/"
That is set in the program and all you need to do is push a key you pick. The screen is save ASAP where ever you picked and you can go on and on with out worry of copying over the last 1.
But beware i have had some crashes with Fraps pressing the Scroll lock.

Just hit "Print screen" on your keyboard. Open windows paint (or similar program) and select paste. Now you can save the picture.

Thank you Adrana, sorry about a repost, but I searched "Screen Capture" "Screen Shot" "Screen" and none turn out the link you mentioned, guess I should have tried "Screenshot" eh? Just usually seperate words tends to find more results.
