I tought of something.
PG is too much a real MMORPG, your ship is a person instead of being a ship.
And what can ships do? Have differant owners...
First thing I think is important that maybe a new type of function has to come, an Advisor, he does diplomates and economy. He can set taxes and pay things such as special clan features and he can accept new alliances and make new onces. If one clan makes an alliance this clan can set the Alliance Leader which can choose a Co-Leader and an Alliance Advisor, which can make Non-Aggresion Pacts and do tax stuff.
The Leader and Co-Leader handle the Conquests and Members, the Advisor has to keep the flow of Log-Files coming, handle the flow and payment of cryonite and make Non Aggresion Pacts.
Conquests will change from being Clanbased with extra from alliance to Alliance Based. The best pilots are put into the battle and will be able to earn Experience for every enemy killed and will get extra if they win the conquest. Clans and Alliances also get an Experience Bar. The highest clan will be shown in the ladder with highest experience, but will also get extra's. A big alliance can also buy and sell Log-Files and Gravitons, this way everyone can have a little bit of feel from it, however it's gonna cost. The Cryonite earned can be repayed to a clan or used to make a company.
A company is an Insurance. Players can buy insurances with Cryonite or use gold. If you die a lot you can save a lot of Cryonite by having an insurance, don't you play a lot then buying an Insurance is a waste of Cryonite. However, if the Insurance Company of an Alliance has a lot of members that die a lot, they have to pay a lot of fixing costs, if they don't die a lot, they can earn cryonite. The Company can increase by investing Cryonite into it if you reach the level needed with enough experience.
The same thing counts for size of alliance, no more will it be unlimited, buy you have to spend cryonite increasing it. This is also for Clans.
You can also buy a Hangar with an Alliance, this way a player can rent someone else his ship for cryonite. The one that doesn't need it gets richer and the one that needs it too as he can make more cryonite, you only need to have the right rank to use it.
Non-Aggresion Pacts can be made with other alliances to lend your ships to them and vice versa, however, you can't fight them on Conquests.
